What happens
Anthony Muse, a young newspaperman from the city, arrives at a fishing village on the coast to write a story about the fishermen. On a bluff near a small graveyard he meets Rita Sherman, who is tormented by the belief that she is a born murderer, and he becomes drawn to her. Their relationship soon brings trouble, and Anthony finds himself caught up in events he cannot control. This is an episode of the Inner Sanctum Mysteries series, an original radio play by Christopher Mayo starring Richard Whitmark as Tony Muse. The original air date was September 11, 1945.

Listen for: Rita's eyes and her belief that she is destined to kill, and the sense of dread that grows around Tony as he becomes involved in her life.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
