What happens

Karen Marlow visits the apartment of Laura Mason, a woman who claims to foresee the future and says she is the future bride of Karen's father, Dennis Marlow. During the visit Karen is seized by a trance in which she sees her father dead, and she is then shaken by eerie events at the apartment, including a vanished skull and a phone that rings with no one there. Police detective Lou Locke is called in after Dennis is found murdered, and Karen tries to make sense of the visions and the strange woman who appears to haunt her.

A city apartment in the spring, with the police investigating a murder at Dennis Marlow's home.

Characters: Karen Marlow, Laura Mason, Dennis Marlow, Lou Locke, Maxine Mayner

Listen for: Karen's trance-like vision in Laura Mason's apartment and the eerie phone and door-buzzer sounds that follow.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
