What happens

Ellen Brandon and John Cote travel at night along a road through the jungle toward a plantation on a Caribbean island, accompanied by Alan and an old cook they meet on the way. The old man seems unsettling, and strange events begin to unfold around the plantation. Alan describes the local belief in voodoo, and the natives' drums sound across the island. When Ellen is left in a state close to death, John and Alan race through the jungle in search of a doctor, while the group grows increasingly uneasy about what they are facing.

A Caribbean island plantation at night, with jungle roads, a native village and a hidden temple, where voodoo practices are said to be common.

Characters: Ellen Brandon, John Cote, Alan, Muriel, Pierre, Timarone, Hannah

Listen for: Listen for the drums and the talk of voodoo, and for how the characters react to the strange old cook and to Ellen's condition.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
