What happens
Inner Sanctum Mysteries presents a tense tale in which a neighborhood murder draws in the local police and the residents of an apartment building. A man is found dead in a backyard on Fairleigh Street, and the detectives begin questioning the tenants, including Earl Kagan, who lives nearby and seems strangely calm. The investigation focuses on a shotgun, a pet cat, and the odd behavior of the building's residents as the officers search the surrounding rooms and fire escapes. The broadcast opens with a cast of characters and a setting in a city apartment house, and the transcript breaks off before the investigation is resolved.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
