What happens

Angelo Manetti, a taxi driver, picks up a passenger named Philip Baker late at night and is forced at gunpoint to drive him to a house on Fairlawn Lane. Inner Sanctum Mysteries presents Deadly Fare, written by Henry Warner, with Larry Haynes as Angelo and Everett Sloan as Philip. It was first broadcast on July 18, 1949.

A suburban highway and station near New Rochelle, then a house on Fairlawn Lane, in the middle of the night.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
