What happens
Britt Reid, publisher by day and the Green Hornet by night, and his valet Kato look into a counterfeiting operation after a police raid on a cellar printing plant turns up empty. Sixteen-year-old Tommy Sutton, who passed a counterfeit ten-dollar bill for a stranger, refuses to tell the police what he knows, and his mother fears for her son. Larry, the reporter, and Casey, the photographer, press the story while the Hornet works to learn what threat has silenced the boy. The series, original broadcast on May 17, 1941, follows the hero's crusade against racketeers who exploit young people.
A city in the late 1930s, including police headquarters, the Sutton home, a newspaper office, a cellar counterfeiting plant and a back alley.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
