What happens
Britt Reid, a young newspaper publisher who secretly fights crime as the Green Hornet, investigates after a safe is blown open in the home of Emma Vernon and her niece Viola. A green hornet seal is left at the scene, and the police assume the Hornet is responsible. Reid and his valet Cato suspect that one of the three executors of the Vernon estate has cheated Viola out of part of her inheritance. Reid sets a plan in motion to test the executors, as the Green Hornet, and to expose the phony who is using the Hornet's name. The Green Hornet series aired on February 8, 1945.

Listen for: Reid's suspicion that the phony Green Hornet is connected to the estate executors, and the plan Reid sets in motion to test them.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
