What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato are drawn into a fight over the Levinson Bill, a measure to regulate beauty products. Reporter Michael Axford has been sent to investigate a Lundquist beauty salon, where a disfigured young woman named Kitty Smith confronts the manager. The Sentinel wants her story to help the bill pass, but Kitty has vanished after her release. Reid and Kato, in disguise, search for the lawyer who paid her fine. The transcript ends with the Sentinel and its reporters racing to uncover where she is being held.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
