What happens

Britt Reid, the Green Hornet, looks into a bitter political campaign in which accusations fly about John Lucas and his time on the parole board. Reid asks his assistant Kato and his contact at police headquarters to check on former parolees in town. Their inquiries lead them to Fingers Malloy, a known safe cracker, who is living in a downtown hotel. Reid learns that Malloy has a link to one of the men Lucas paroled, and he goes to confront him, though Malloy is wary of anyone connected with the police. The transcript breaks off before the investigation is resolved.

A city during a heated election campaign, moving between Reid's office, police headquarters, and a downtown hotel.

Characters: Britt Reid, Kato, John Lucas, Fingers Malloy, Mr. Reed, Miss Case

Listen for: Reid's discovery that Fingers Malloy is living in a downtown hotel, and Malloy's suspicion when he thinks Reid is still with the police.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
