What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, directs reporter Ed Larry to investigate why the city is paying far above value for swampy farmland for a new municipal airport. Larry learns that John D. Stanley, a board member who recommended the site, has ties to the land deal through his associate Fred Baker. As the reporting closes in on Stanley, a menacing secret conspiracy involving a navy destroyer begins to surface. The Green Hornet appears to pursue the case in his own way, confronting Baker and a rival from the underworld.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
