What happens

Judge Callow is stepping down from a grand jury investigating enemy saboteurs, and Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, suspects a hidden hand behind the sudden resignation. Callow's son Dan has been drawn into a dangerous situation after a night at a roadhouse with a young woman named Maisie, who has told him of a violent man threatening her. Britt Reid, aided by his valet Cato, begins to piece together the connections between the judge, his son, and the people pressuring them. The Green Hornet, working in secret, sets out to uncover the truth behind the pressure on the Callows.

A city in the early 1940s, including the Daily Sentinel building, a roadhouse called the Moonbeam Garden, the Civic Club, and an apartment building.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
