What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, is approached by Jim Slade, who claims to be with the Department of Justice and asks for help trapping the Green Hornet. Slade proposes a party at Mrs. Melvin Bradley's home, where guests will wear paste jewels to lure the masked criminal. Reid agrees and arranges the event, which is given publicity in his newspaper. As the party begins, the Bradley jewels are stolen, and the Green Hornet is said to be behind it. The story follows the aftermath of the theft and the mounting suspicion among the criminals involved, with Reid and his valet Kato working to uncover the truth. The Green Hornet series aired on the Blue Network in 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
