What happens
Britt Reid, a daring young newspaper publisher, works with his assistant Kato and his bodyguard Michael Oxford to uncover the truth behind a death in the city. Anna Carlin's husband Paul is found dead in an alley near the downtown shirt shop of Volker, a man who loves to advertise bargains in the newspaper. Anna meets the Green Hornet at her apartment and learns more about her husband's secret activities. Britt and Kato enter Volker's store at night to search for clues, and the case begins to connect the shop to a larger hidden operation. This is an episode of the radio series The Green Hornet, first broadcast on July 11, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
