What happens

Brit Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato investigate a suspicious accident involving a truck carrying explosives on a highway outside the city. Reporter Gayle Manning sneaks past police lines at the scene and finds only a hole in the ground. Reid learns that a rival paper's advertisement has been recruiting experienced drivers of explosives trucks, and he suspects a sabotage plot. Reid and Kato set out in the Black Beauty, the Green Hornet's car, to watch the convoy. Their identity is threatened by an anonymous letter claiming to know who the Green Hornet is. The Green Hornet series, original air date November 14, 1942.

A city and the trunk highways outside it, with the Daily Sentinel newspaper offices, Brit Reid's apartment, and a hidden garage for the Black Beauty car.

Listen for: The anonymous letter to the editor and the plan to send a string of explosives trucks toward the loading terminal.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
