What happens

Britt Reid, a young newspaper publisher, reveals to his father that he secretly operates as the Green Hornet, a masked crusader against criminals the law cannot reach. His father, Mr. Reid, reacts with surprise but gradually becomes supportive, recalling their Texas roots. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Higgins is being pressured by Larry Larson, a roadhouse operator who holds compromising photographs of Higgins's son. The Green Hornet and Kato plan to visit Larson's roadhouse to confront him over the hidden photographs.

A city in the 1940s, including the Reid apartment, the Daily Sentinel offices, and Larry Larson's roadhouse.

Characters: Britt Reid, Mr. Reid, Linda Travis, Kato, Commissioner Higgins, Larry Larson, Pokey

Listen for: Britt Reid's confession to his father, and the exchange between Higgins and Larson about the compromising photographs.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
