What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, is worried after a visit from Highway Commissioner Adrian Lash, whom his editorial had criticized over the East River Bridge. Reid's new reporter, Linda Travis, has revealed a secret about herself and is expected in his office. Reid then travels to the home of Tug Maxwell, an old ferry operator who had planned to give him evidence against Lash, and finds Maxwell dead. Reid and Travis examine the scene, and Reid works to expose the truth behind the death, acting in his other role as the Green Hornet.

Detroit, in the offices of the Daily Sentinel and along the East River, at Tug Maxwell's shack and in the city

Characters: Britt Reid, Linda Travis, Casey, Michael, Keto, Adrian Lash, Tug Maxwell, Steve Mulroy

Listen for: Reid and Travis discovering Maxwell's body and examining the scene, and Lash's later statement naming Mulroy

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
