What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, secretly operates as the Green Hornet with his assistant Kato. Investigating a counterfeit cosmetics racket that sells fake drug labels to small pharmacies, they trace the operation through a missing man named Faelan and a phone number that leads to a deserted waterfront warehouse. Meanwhile, Linda Travis, a new switchboard operator at the Victory Arms hotel, is a reporter from the Sentinel who has been sent to watch Reid's conduct as publisher, and she grows suspicious of his interest in the case. The story follows the pursuit of the racketeers through the hotel and the warehouse as shots ring out and police arrive. The Green Hornet's own reputation as a wanted criminal is at stake throughout the episode.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
