What happens
Britt Reid, the publisher of the Daily Sentinel, secretly works as the Green Hornet, aided by his valet Kato. Britt's father, King Reid, learns of his son's double life, and city editor Gunnegan is upset to learn the paper's reward for the Green Hornet has been withdrawn without consulting him. Police Commissioner Higgins asks the Green Hornet to help investigate a drug ring led by a man known only as the man on top. Britt and Kato plan a break-in at the suspected leader's suburban home, with reporter Linda Travis taking part in the scheme.
A city in the 1940s, including the Daily Sentinel newspaper offices, the Reid apartment, the Civic Club, and a suburban estate.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
