What happens

Britt Reid, a young publisher, and his valet Kato investigate the deaths of attorneys tied to a congressional scandal. Linda Travis, Reid's secretary, brings in Miss Moffat, an elderly client who believes the law firm of Gramercy, Fletcher and Thorne Dyke is trying to kill her. Soon one partner, Thorne Dyke, dies in a car accident that police suspect was no accident. Gramercy and Fletcher are plotting to collect partnership insurance money, and the Green Hornet's plan to frighten them into confessing goes badly wrong. The Green Hornet series aired on 1947-11-25.

A city in the 1940s, including Reid's newspaper office, Miss Moffat's home, a roadhouse near Barnesville and a hilltop roadside stand.

Characters: Britt Reid, Kato, Linda Travis, Miss Moffat, Gramercy, Fletcher, Thorne Dyke, Sergeant Buck

Listen for: Miss Moffat describing the suspicious furnace and food incidents, and the partners' discussion of the partnership insurance policy.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
