What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, is approached by Mrs. Lynette, whose husband was killed at Joe Kane's roadhouse. She says her husband held a note naming Kane as the killer of gambler Big Boy Narvig, and that Kane wants it. Reid sends her to a hotel, but she is taken away in a cab before she can reach the police. Reid and Kato search Kane's apartment for the note, leaving a green hornet seal behind. Kane finds the seal and claims he has proof of the Green Hornet's identity. This is an episode of The Green Hornet, first aired November 14, 1944.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
