What happens
Rick Reed, young publisher of the Daily Sentinel, plans to expose state senator Carberry, whom he suspects of blocking a bill that would regulate the publishing industry for the good of the people. Reed's secretary, Lenore Case, helps him draft an editorial vowing to name names if proof emerges. Meanwhile, Henry Longmont, head of a large publishing house, and his treasurer Burt Masters oppose the bill, and Longmont asks Masters to deliver a wrapped book to Carberry. The Green Hornet series aired on October 5, 1946, and the story is presented in its opening segment.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
