What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato investigate after a train wreck leaves convicted murderer Joe Handley missing and an injured soldier, Don Curry, unaccounted for. Reid's secretary Lenore Case is engaged to Don, and Betty Kenton, Don's sweetheart, worries when he fails to appear. Reid learns that Handley's escape has been hidden by the mix-up over an unconscious man in the hospital, who keeps repeating a verse that only Betty and Don would know. Reid goes to Willie Hatton's apartment, where Handley has gone to find him. This is a 1944 episode of The Green Hornet, first aired on November 28, 1944.
A railroad wreck near a city, a newspaper office, a hospital, and a town street and river road at night.

Listen for: The verse Don recites to Betty, and the line the injured man keeps repeating in the hospital.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
