What happens

Lenore Case, secretary to publisher Britt Reid of the Daily Sentinel, visits a vacant stone house on North Pike to see whether it suits her as a rental. Inside, strange wind and a moaning sound frighten her and she flees. Reporter Mike Axford takes on the challenge of spending a night there to prove the house is not haunted, and Cassidy goes with him. Later, Britt Reid and his valet Kato head out to the house themselves, while Ed Lowery and Sergeant Burke also drive out to look for Axford. The Green Hornet is a radio adventure series, and this episode aired on December 5, 1944.

Listen for: The strange wind and moaning sounds inside the vacant house, and the mystery of Axford's disappearance

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
