What happens

Brit Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, follows the murder case of Hendrickson Bond, a stockbroker whose death at his office was first called suicide. The state's star witness is Marie Dayton, Bond's former secretary, who is expected to testify against Hendrix, the man charged with the killing. Reid and his assistant Kato examine Bond's private files and office papers, and Reid learns that Hendrix's past dealings were shady. As the trial develops, a sudden claim about a marriage threatens to change Dayton's position as a witness. The Green Hornet works to uncover evidence against Hendrix, and the episode builds toward a confrontation over a key letter.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
