What happens
Britt Reid, the daring young publisher of the Daily Sentinel, works with his reporter Larry Harris to investigate a suspected smuggling racket. At the customs house, a diplomat named Sneed argues with inspectors over a broken trunk full of imported lace handkerchiefs, and Larry pockets one of them. Back at the paper, Larry traces the lace to a department store and to a salesgirl there, Miss Creeby, and Britt begins to plan a way to expose the scheme. Meanwhile his valet Cato prepares a chemical ink, and Britt goes out in disguise to watch Sneed's party. The story is part of the Green Hornet series, first broadcast on November 25, 1939.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
