What happens

Publisher Britt Reid, also known as the Green Hornet, and his assistant Kato look into charges that Mayor Ryan Cliff took bribes in a housing construction bid. Political boss David Frankton has accused the mayor and claims to hold a letter that proves it. Reporter Mike Axford interviews the mayor, who denies any wrongdoing. Soon after, the assistant housing director, Purcell, is shot dead on the street. The Green Hornet and Kato then move to find the letter, which is kept in Frankton's office. This summary covers only the first part of the episode.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
