What happens

Jack Kenley is released from prison and is met at the gate by his old associates Steve and Socks Harris, who pressure him into joining their scheme. Steve has planned a hijacking of a sugar shipment, and the gang uses a siren to stop a truck while posing as police officers. Meanwhile, Britt Reid's secretary Lenore Case reports the news of the hijackings, and Britt Reid learns that the crooks have been blamed on the Green Hornet. Britt Reid decides to watch police headquarters, where Jack Kenley is seen nervously approaching the building. The crooks' hideout and the aftermath of a shooting are part of the story as the events unfold.

A state prison gate, a river and its shipping lanes, a city street and police headquarters.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
