What happens

Britt Reid, the Green Hornet, and his assistant Kato investigate the death of Dr. Gerald Loomis, assistant to archaeologist Dr. Kingston, after Loomis is found dead inside a mummy case at the museum. The mummy of King Milliken, recently unearthed by Kingston's expedition sponsored by the Daily Sentinel, has gone missing, and the museum has received threatening black cat figurines warning of revenge. Britt suspects the case is tied to a legendary ruby said to have been buried with the mummy. Inspector Evans, Sergeant Burke and the Daily Sentinel's staff are drawn into the investigation as threats mount against the museum's curator and Dr. Kingston. The Green Hornet series, aired on June 15, 1946, is performed on KRLD radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
