What happens
Britt Reid, the young publisher who secretly fights crime as the Green Hornet, and his valet Kato investigate a string of jewel robberies at Burton Hawkridge's hotel suite. Police Commissioner Higgins and Lieutenant Allen suspect Jimmy Edmonds, owner of the Plaza Coronado nightclub, after he reveals knowledge of a robbery before it is broadcast. Reed sets a trap at the nightclub, using a gas bomb and a disguise to draw out Edmonds and his associates. The Green Hornet series aired on October 31, 1952, and this episode is the first part of the Hawkridge Gems story.
