What happens

Brit Reed, young publisher of the Daily Sentinel, drives with Michael Axford and Commissioner Higgins to his mountain lodge north of the city. Passing the remote home of Professor Gustav Mannheim, a German scientist working for the government, they notice a strange signal from a window. Meanwhile, a pair of agents, Carl and Helena, plot to seize the professor's secret work, aided by Duke Hagen, a former carnival performer. When Reed grows suspicious of the household's story, he and his companion Kato take action, and the Green Hornet is drawn into a dangerous confrontation at the house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
