What happens
The Green Hornet investigates a protection racket run by gangster Sligo, who forces every gas station in the city to pay him tribute under threat of bombings. Newspaper editor Reed and reporter Lowry of the Daily Sentinel press the district attorney's case, while Kato and the Green Hornet work to find a witness willing to testify. Station owner Jennings refuses to talk at first, and a photograph of him causes trouble. The Green Hornet takes a hand in the scheme, staging a bold confrontation that puts Sligo's collectors on the defensive. This episode, from the Green Hornet series, was first broadcast on November 29, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
