What happens
Brit Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato look into corruption on the new superhighway project. Highway Commissioner Merrick is pressed by reporters after an editorial criticizes the road's condition, and he blames Inspector Higgins, suspending him on the spot. Higgins is later seized by two men who force him into a car and take his briefcase of reports. Reid visits Mrs. Higgins, who believes her husband's reports showed substandard materials. The Green Hornet's investigation turns toward the contractors who supplied the project.
A city in the 1940s, centered on the Daily Sentinel newspaper offices, the city highway commission, and the superhighway construction project.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
