What happens
Britt Reid, a young publisher known as the Green Hornet, and his valet Kato look into a food poisoning case. Michael Axford of the Daily Sentinel follows an ambulance to the home of the Benson family, whose young children fell ill after eating beef bought from a new butcher. Mr. Benson suspects the meat was bad, while the doctors name a bacterium known as enteritidis. Axford and Reid begin to suspect a black market operation behind the shop, run by a man named Tenic. The episode is part of The Green Hornet series, first broadcast on June 20, 1943.
Wartime Detroit, with its black market meat trade, a butcher shop, a hospital, a warehouse and the Benson home.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
