What happens
Britt Reid, a young publisher who secretly operates as the Green Hornet with his valet Kato, follows a trail of stolen military blueprints after a man is shot on a rainy city street and the Daily Sentinel prints a claim that the Green Hornet has been killed. Reporters Larry Lowry and Casey race to cover the story as the paper prepares to pay a $25,000 reward to whoever apprehended the Hornet. The Hornet's investigation centers on engineer Marvin Radcliffe and a missing set of plans, and the episode details how the reward claimants came forward.
A rain-soaked city in the early 1940s, including the Daily Sentinel newspaper office, police headquarters, an apartment, and a bank.

Listen for: Listen for the moment the Daily Sentinel announces the Green Hornet's death and offers its reward, and for the claims that follow.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
