What happens

Rick Reed, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato investigate after State Senator Robert Bruce is accused of taking a bribe to pass a bill renegotiating state contracts. Bruce's daughter Barbara stands by her father, while the Sentinel's reporter Larry Dodd pursues the story. Rick and Kato suspect a pressure group is behind a plot to discredit the senator and turn his followers against the measure. The Green Hornet carries out a surprise visit to Bruce's study, where the senator insists he has been framed. Rick and Kato then search the state capitol and follow a trail that leads toward the senator's secretary and a lobbyist named Lund.

A city with a state senate and capitol, featuring a nightclub, a downtown hotel, the Daily Sentinel newspaper offices, and the senator's home and state capitol building.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
