What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, grows concerned when his secretary, Miss Case, is struck by a car and kept overnight in hospital. Her kind driver, Paul Smith, begins to court her, and she is soon drawn into his scheme involving a bookshop, a secret book of plans and a dangerous rendezvous. Reid's concern deepens as police hunt a murder suspect and small details, such as bent paper matches, start to matter. The story follows Miss Case's growing suspicion and the Green Hornet's pursuit of the pair.

Listen for: The bent paper matches in the hospital ashtray, and Miss Case's realisation that Paul Smith is not what he seems

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
