What happens

Lenore Kay, a secretary at the Daily Sentinel, works with Michael Axford, who visits poor families on the paper's Christmas charity list and finds several of them unexpectedly well off. Publisher Reed takes an interest, learning that the husbands of these families have each confessed to crimes and gone to prison. Meanwhile, the Green Hornet begins tracking the money. Race Spencer, a nightclub owner, is connected to the payments, and the Hornet and Kato set out to confront those receiving them.

A city during the Christmas season, including the Daily Sentinel office, police headquarters, a nightclub, and poor neighborhoods on the west side.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
