What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato investigate a string of questionable loan companies after a young woman's car is seized by men posing as collectors. Reid's reporter Axford goes undercover at the Instant Loan Company and overhears a borrower named Jim Stacy arguing with the manager, Mr. Sedgwick, about a payment. Soon Stacy is found shot dead, and Reid decides to search the loan company's files. The episode is part of the long-running Green Hornet radio series, which first aired on December 13, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
