What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his news editor Gunnigan look into the conviction of Digby, an accountant in the city tax department who has been sentenced to five years in prison for stealing tax money. Digby insists he is innocent and claims his bosses, Fletcher and Johnson, framed him. Reid decides to test the claim by pressing the case against the two men, while Fletcher threatens a libel suit and the appeal date draws near. The Green Hornet strikes against the crooked officials as the story unfolds in this episode of The Green Hornet, first aired on March 18, 1940.
The city of the Daily Sentinel newspaper, its newsroom and offices, and the jail and homes of the accused tax officials

Listen for: Digby's account of how the tax money was borrowed and never repaid, and Fletcher's threats against the newspaper
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
