What happens

The Green Hornet investigates a fever epidemic in Grant City, where the city chemist Fox claims the water is contaminated. Dr. Holmes doubts the scare and believes there is nothing to alarm the public, while George Tyler accuses Fox of taking money from the Maxwell company, which wants to sell the city an expensive new water filtration plant. Britt Reid's rival at the Sentinel, Lowry, and the Green Hornet's assistant Kato push the matter into the open, and a tense laboratory test is staged before the city's officials. The series, aired on May 9, 1939, stars Gordon Jones as the Hornet, though this transcript does not confirm the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
