What happens

Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher who secretly fights crime as the Green Hornet, follows a tip about a fixed horse race. Reporter Jerry is found dead at a racetrack stable, and his favorite horse, Firefly, is in danger of being swapped for a ringer. Britt and his valet Kato investigate the stables, where the trainer Wallaby and the groom Bob are uneasy about the horse's condition. A gambling syndicate and its underworld contacts are linked to the scheme, and the Green Hornet moves to protect the race. The transcript ends before the full resolution of the plot.

A racetrack and its stables in an American city, around the time of a big race, with a newspaper office nearby.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
