What happens
Britt Reid, a daring young newspaper publisher, works in secret as the Green Hornet to fight the Big Four, a criminal organization running drugstore rackets in the city. The gang is led by a mysterious voice known only as Mr. Big. Drugstore owner Ferris is pressured by thugs Crandall and Skip to join the drugstore association or face violence. Reporter Casey and Gunnegan of the Daily Sentinel follow the story, which the police in turn chase. Ferris's home is bombed while his family is away, and Ferris himself is missing. The Green Hornet remains a shadowy presence throughout the events described here.
A present-day American city, including a neighborhood drugstore, the Daily Sentinel newspaper office, a police station, and the Blackwood Hotel.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
