What happens
Reporter Britt Reid and his photographer Lenore Case cover the trial of Stefani, a man the law has finally caught. Their assignment is to learn who will preside as judge, since a judge can influence a verdict as much as a jury. They visit the courthouse, where Judge Grayson's office is guarded, and Britt presses the judge for a statement about the case. Grayson gives only a general promise that the trial will be conducted fairly. The transcript ends with the trial underway and questions about who is trying to influence it, so the outcome is not yet known.
A city courthouse and the offices of Judge Grayson, during the trial of Stefani.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
