What happens

Britt Reid, a daring young publisher who fights crime as the Green Hornet with his valet Kato, sets out to bring down crime boss Crimp Coleman, whose gang steals cars and disposes of anyone who threatens them. After a former gang member, Eddie Rick, is found drowned, reporter Michael Axford begins digging into the car theft racket and its links to Coleman. Police Commissioner Oliver Perry, meanwhile, tries to outwit the Hornet by driving a car that resembles the Hornet's own, while Coleman's wife, Muriel, becomes a key figure in the investigation.

A city and the state highway near it, in the 1940s, featuring a newspaper office, police headquarters and the Coleman home and garage.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
