What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Sentinel, and his reporter Jonathan Gunnegan investigate rumors of graft at General Hospital, where a patient has died after surgery. Rumors name Johnson and Liggett, two political figures on the hospital board, as taking kickbacks from hospital funds. Reid and reporter Larry go undercover in a disguise to reach Dr. Wakefield, the hospital's senior physician, who confronts the two men about the death and faulty surgical equipment. Meanwhile Reid learns that Wakefield has been removed from service, and the Green Hornet is drawn into the case. The episode is part of The Green Hornet series, first aired on March 25, 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
