What happens

Hank Connegan, a reporter for the Daily Sentinel, learns that Cole, an assistant to the powerful Robertson, is ready to expose Robertson's racket of collecting a cut of court workers' salaries. Cole is driving to the newspaper with the evidence, and Connegan and his editor wait for him to arrive. Their hopes for a major scoop begin to unravel as Cole fails to appear. The Green Hornet, who fights public enemies, takes up the case, and the investigation pulls him into a series of tense confrontations with Robertson and the people around him.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
