What happens

Britt Reid, a young publisher of the Daily Sentinel, takes on a case brought by Judy Madigan, who believes she saw her estranged husband, the former racketeer Mickey Madigan, at a boxing match. Reid and his secretary Lenore Case study photographs from the arena with the help of Kato, and they identify Madigan along with two other known criminals. Their investigation leads them toward a suspicious usher and a murdered man. The Green Hornet, and his faithful valet Kato, follow the trail, and the episode is part of the long-running series The Green Hornet.

Ashford, a city with a boxing arena, a newspaper office, and a police headquarters, plus a rundown neighborhood and a cottage in the woods outside town.

Characters: Britt Reid, Kato, Lenore Case, Judy Madigan, Mickey Madigan, Commissioner Higgins, George Dokerty, Pop Gandy

Listen for: Look for the photographs taken at the arena that reveal the criminals in the box, and the moment the Green Hornet's gas gun is used in the cottage.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
