What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato pursue Crim Coleman, a racketeer suspected of running a stolen car ring. Eddie Rick, a former gang member who worked for Coleman, is found dead in a river after his car went off a bridge, and Rick's death is questioned. Reid and Kato investigate, and Oliver Perry, the Sentinel's sharp-tongued crime writer, joins the chase with a car built to resemble the Green Hornet's. The Green Hornet series aired on radio in the 1940s; this episode is dated April 28, 1949.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
