What happens

Michael Axford, a reporter for the Daily Sentinel, is assigned to cover a scientific meeting of Allied delegates at the Ridgely Plaza Hotel, where Brit Reed of the Green Hornet helps look into events there. Axford, flirting with a beautiful woman named Alita Carlisle in the hotel grill, soon finds himself at the center of a serious crime. Professor Wembley, a British scientist, has been shot in his room, and secret plans for a supersonic weapon are missing. Police want to question Axford, and Reed sets out to clear his name. The Green Hornet's first adventure, broadcast on December 5, 1952, is part of the Green Hornet radio series.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
