What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his assistant Axford hear about a pinball machine that pays out cash tickets to teenagers, traced to an office in a building beside the K-18 nightclub. Reid sends his valet Kato to watch the office, then Reid and Axford visit the club to snoop. When Axford reports a safe robbery in that office and claims to have seen the Green Hornet leaving it, Reid assigns him to persuade the office tenant, Joe Malden, to come to the Sentinel. Axford sets out to make Malden talk while the morning edition is held for his story.
Late 1944 or early 1945 in the city of San Diego, at the Daily Sentinel offices, a nightclub on East Boulevard, and nearby streets.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
